Permanent

PERMANENT no.2 Landscape of the table #2 " Relay in the morning " ( Kuhonji, Kumamoto City ) ver. from PERMANENT on Vimeo.

PERMANENT no.2 " Round the table " ( Ueki, Kumamoto ) ver. from PERMANENT on Vimeo.

These are such beautiful videos. Calm and loving. I found out about Permanent, a japanese editorial of beautiful everyday food, how it's prepared, who makes it and where it comes from. Sadly I haven't seen a copy but they also have videos to compliment each issue. They are a must see. F ound through Hiki on her JollyGoo blog, where she talks about Permanent a lot better than me. Miyazaki Ramen

Love this video of Hayao Miyazaki making ramen for his team whilst making Spirited Away. I love that he uses instant ramen, I love the paper he puts down to put the pot on top of, and I love how they help themselves from the pot and into their mugs!

Cotton and Flax

I have fallen head over heels in love with Erin Dollar's printed textiles that she creates as Cotton and Flax.

Love this video from Pennyweight featuring one of her beautiful tea towels.

Her blog is full of inspirational designs of her own, how-to's on printing and things that inspire her.

Goro Goro

Love this cover of Ku:nel.

Found this list of legendary creatures from Japan. It's really interesting, I have been particularly intrigued by the Akaname, a “personification of the fear of using a dark bathroom late at night.”!

Weird but I like

I'd be delighted to receive this magnet. Interested to know where the illustration came from though.
